Release Shows

Celebrate your latest release by hosting a bespoke concert, listening party, or release event with us.

how it works

Start by reaching out to our team below — we'll set up a 1:1 meeting with you to learn more about your release and your vision.

We'll guide you through each step:

Are you performing your newest EP live for guests at a tickted release show?

Or would you prefer an intimate listening party with your closest friends?

Do you have another event format in mind? Let us know — we'll figure out how to bring it to life.

Let's talk about how you'd like to manage your guest list — will this be private, ticketed, or just for close friends?

If you'd like to ticket your event, we can manage sales on your behalf for no additional fee through our site, after covering credit card fees.

Do you have a venue in mind? If not, our team can recommend spaces from our roster of 100+ venues in Kitchener, Waterloo, and Toronto. If you're looking for something specific, we can also help scout the perfect space for your event.

By booking a venue through Good Company, we apply our $5M Certificate of Insurance to the rental for no additional fee.

Together, we'll create a promotion plan for your release event, including creative assets. You can also opt to add a photography session with our team to your package.

We'll also create a unique event page with a custom short URL for you to share your event.

Depending on the format of your event, our team will scale production accordingly — from full live sound for performances, to more compact hi-fi speaker systems for listening parties.

While exploring production, we'll also chat with you about staging: what you want the event to look and feel like. Lighting, props, projections, you name it — we'll help find it.

If you'd like to include additional talent in your event, whether it be in the form of a supporting musician, collaborating visual artist, or event emcee, our team will help scout and book on your behalf.

Together, we'll create a top-down event budget including each of the above topics. If you have a fixed budget, our team will help work within it; if your event is ticketed, we'll help estimate how much revenue to anticipate from sales.

Our goal is to ensure release events at minimum break even for independent artists, meaning you spend no money out of pocket. In most cases, we will turn a profit if the event is ticketed. For more curated and custom events, costs may increase on a case-by-case basis.

After working through your budget, our team will provide you a quote on a case-by-case basis; we typically charge a flat rate to cover essential staff and pre-production, plus a percentage of ticket sales (if the event is ticketed). In some cases, we may opt to pay ourselves via bar revenue instead of a ticket percentage.

In general, ticketed events have a lower flat rate. Our goal is to work within your budget, and ideally create an event that you will benefit from financially.
